Kate is a BBC-trained multi-camera director working across reality, live and as-live entertainment, fixed rig, music and large-scale event television.
Her career spans some of the world’s leading unscripted formats, including MasterChef, The Great Australian Bake Off, Farmer Wants a Wife, Married at First Sight, The Mole, Million Dollar Secret and, most recently, Beast Games for Amazon. With a First Class Honours degree in Electronic Imaging and Media Communication, Kate brings a strong technical foundation to an extensive range of shooting styles and environments. She is equally at home designing a complex multi-camera studio shoot as she is working with specialist cameras in extreme locations.
At the heart of her work is a cinematic approach to programme-making - a strong visual instinct, an eye for detail and an understanding of how to find the human moments within even the largest productions. Kate works closely with executives, producers and crews to establish the visual language of a show and carry it through from concept to screen.
Whatever the scale, the story remains at the centre.
